But Gabe needs to do more to discuss, in general tems, what the algorithm uses as criteria. I haven't seen much on this and I've read, over time, many people questioning what the criteria of the algorithm are.

Re: Sponsored post by Robert Scoble

Thank's for links

Re: Sponsored post by Robert Scoble

Gabe, I still believe TechMeme is "THE" source of news from influencers. FriendFeed is too noisy for me, and although I use it regularly, it's far from being a source of great news.

Re: Sponsored post by Robert Scoble

Funny: there's a whole FriendFeed comment cluster about this post here: http://friendfeed.com/e/718... which has some interesting conversations.

Re: Sponsored post by Robert Scoble

Loic, it sounds to me like Seesmic needs to sponsor Techmeme.

Re: Sponsored post by Robert Scoble

Robert, Duncan, the idea that Techmeme is losing influencers to FriendFeed is something you only hear on FriendFeed, usually by people who aren't very influential, and who in fact still read Techmeme. In short, it's a complete farce. Robert, I very much appreciate the support and am pleased Techmeme is introducing your videos to influencers who aren't FriendFeed users.

Re: Sponsored post by Robert Scoble

It shouldn't be this way though. Techmeme was once the first stop for influence, and yet today its more and more mainstream. Sad, I've spent soooooo many hours on Techmeme over the years

Re: Sponsored post by Robert Scoble

ah! I was sure I would get a great explanation in no time Robert thanks! I should be with you tonight I have to be at 0730 in Half Moon Bay... Congrats in supporting Gabe.

Re: Sponsored post by Robert Scoble

I wanted to support TechMeme. It has brought me so much value over the past couple of years that I wanted to repay Gabe for all his work. But, on the other hand, this is the only way to get links to videos onto TechMeme. And, more and more of the influencers in the industry are on FriendFeed and Twitter and not on TechMeme and that's who I want to reach.
