In answer to 'A Thinker'.

First, from your comments, I will assume you don't know what the world of film promotion is like. There was no way that Paramount would have agreed to do this if it were just going to bounce around in the 'echo chamber', they *needed* to allow International journalists to get questions answered by the filmmakers so that they could use them on their sites.

Do facilitate this AND to fit it in during the very short amount of time we had with each person (less than 10 minutes), Dan Light got journalists from 'international territories' (eg UK, Japan, Poland, Portugal etc) to record 'private messages' containing the questions they wanted answered. The filmakers were *asked* those questions then answered them via Seesmic.

Obviously, Loic and VinVin knew that this *might* happen and did what they could internally to allow it to happen, but neither they nor those of us in Cannes actually knew if it was going to actually happen at all. In fact, we weren't sure if any of them were going to do it until they actually walked in the door, sat down and did it. At any point any one of them could have pulled out.

Big thanks to all involved in this. Mike, Gia, Dan & Dom for setting this up with Seesmic & Twitter.

I had been talking to @sizemore on Seeamic & Twtter over the last week about our Geeky love for films etc. without knowing that he was organising this event with his co-conspirators. It makes sense now, with all the hints from the last two days. I think @Moox was the first to work this out , good one.

So last night we knew that something was going down, so my two girls with their friend (biggest Indiana & Star Wars Fan in school) were lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Saturday Morning in the same time slot that I remember as a child watching 'Swap Shop' on BBC1, wanting to ask the same questions.

They had more success then I in those days, with Harrison Ford answering Saskia (age 8) and Cate Blanchett answering Erin (6) and Orla's (7 & three quarters) questions.

Great use of Twitter & Seesmic and the excitement of waiting for a live appearance, sent me back 30 years to that Saturday morning again.

Again Thanks to the lot at the top with all the Seesmic guys, Vin Vin etc.

So these guys were actually in seesmic, replying to videos? You had no way to give prior notice to the community?

Then why are some questions posted 15 hours ago (these are times I see now so they will change with time) and then responded to 6 hours ago?

Then you have the case of the lost footage... but he put that up 60 mins ago... so @sizemore says

He also spoke of uploading footage... nothing real time here as you imply in the post Loic. As does the Gardian article as well. With nine hours between the question and the answer which was posted at about 2 am onto the sesmic site, from Jemima Kiss who posted a seesmic video about this event 16 days ago!

So there is a bit more to this than random chance that you knew nothing about and it was far from live... I am thinking the regular media junket.

Shame on you, what happened to being open with your users? Marketing spin. Nice job though. But it is pretty hard these days to have all the bases covered with everyone leaking the details and none of the times making any sense at all.
